 Active Citizens FE (ACFE) is a community interest company and national network for post-16 citizenship, learner voice and social action. ACFE is a non-funded network that is developing in response to the ideas of members. The networks central aim is to build on relationships between citizenship practitioners in the post-compulsory sector across the country to maintain a dynamic professional community which: - Promotes excellence and innovation in learning for effective democratic participation and social action
- Promotes the further development of post-16 citizenship education
- Offer members a range of opportunities and services including: networking and sharing; learning resources; events; training; special projects; and a regular e-news bulletin.
ACFE's current projects include managing the Paul Hamlyn Foundation-funded 'Speak out for Change' project, which aims to engage foundation level learners in real public speaking opportunities linked to citizenship learning.
